I feel your pain on so many levels. We too did domestic and Ethiopia at the same time --- and let's just say the story about T hits home. We had a car full of baby stuff... the car seat and all when the birth mom changed her mind at the hospital about the terms of the adoption.(our lawyer too was named Debbie) It was rock bottom... and I didn't think at that point we would ever be parents - but then fate stepped in - and now we're waiting for a court date to meet our 8-month-old triplets in Ethiopia. My point is... it will happen for you one way or another. Hang in there - and congratulations on your new job. Look forward to following your blog. I understand that long-term limbo, and to be honest, we seriously contemplated during a relocation/starting over thing like you are doing but we weren't brave enough to make a big change. It was SO appealing, the idea of getting a new lease on life.
